Our Team

James W. McKee founded McKee & Associates in 1973. Over the years, he has assisted builders, developers, realtors, banks, title companies and individuals in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area, by providing a full range of development, subdivision and surveying services. Mr. McKee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University and is currently a registered land surveyor in the States of Maryland and Pennsylvania. He is a past President of the Maryland Society of Surveyors and served as an officer and board member for a period of five years. Through his experience, he has been qualified as an expert witness in surveying and real estate development before the Baltimore County Zoning Commissioner, Baltimore County Board of Appeals, Maryland District Court and Maryland Circuit Court.

Geoffrey C. Schultz has over thirty years of experience in the fields of Civil Engineering and Land Surveying, involving hundreds of development projects throughout the greater Baltimore Area. His areas of expertise include: property analysis and best-use determination, residential planning and subdivision design, commercial planning and site design, grading, sediment control and utility design, zoning analysis, and construction supervision. He is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Maryland and holds a B .S. degree from Towson University and an M.B.A. from Loyola College of Maryland.

Charles V. Main II joined McKee and Associates, after thirty years of successful service to municipalities, institutions, and private developers in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. His areas of land development expertise include: feasibility studies, zoning & development cases including expert testimony, road, storm drain, water, sewer and stormwater management design; and project close-out including as-built plan preparation. He is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Maryland, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington College.

Robert P. Grim, a licensed Property Line Surveyor in the State of Maryland supervises our Survey Group. With over forty years of surveying experience, Mr. Grim is responsible for the supervision of all field and construction surveys. His experience includes: boundary, topographic, and hydrographic surveys, layout and grading of roadways, buildings, and sewer lines; design and construction stakeout for right-of-ways, erosion and sediment control measures, storm drainage facilities, site grading, highways, sanitary sewers, and water mains; records research, preparation of property descriptions, mathematical computations and computer applications.

Guy C. Ward has 20 years of experience in the Land Development Industry in Central Maryland. He serves as a Project Manager and Senior Environmental and Natural Resource Specialist with the firm. His areas of expertise include: residential land planning and subdivision design, zoning analysis, environmental analysis and design, and project management. He holds B. S. degrees in both Urban Agronomy and Landscape Design Horticulture from the University of Maryland. He is a Maryland Registered Environmental Sanitarian and is a Qualified Professional for Forest Conservation in the State of Maryland.

James Grammer has been with McKee and Associates, Inc. for more than twenty-five years. Beginning as a draftsman for the firm, he has advanced his way through positions as a designer, survey supervisor, and now project manager. His experience includes: residential subdivision design and development, zoning analysis, and construction survey management. Mr. Grammer also works closely with a number of national and local custom homebuilders and their clients, providing them with the services necessary to complete the home building process. He has contributed to the construction of hundreds of homes in the Greater Baltimore region. Mr. Grammer is a member of the Maryland Society of Surveyors, and served as Secretary for the Baltimore Chapter for five years.
